The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Today Frye remains true to its roots with its line of heritage boots, but continues to innovate as it introduces chic new handbags, pumps, and sandals to its collection.
Great Boot, the worn in effect looks quality along with the build of this boot.I did however have to return the original boot, as i had ordered a sz 11 mens and they ran quite large. so i returned and re-ordered a 10.5.the 10.5 is not snug tight (which is how i like my shoes) but fits much better than the 11. which is my usual shoe size.Super comfy insoles. The part above the buckle and heel is very tight at first to fit your foot through. But this was easily fixed by sliding my foot in a plastic bag and stretching the leather with my foot. Creating that perfect FIT!!!

Accentuate your style with the distinctive Veronica Slouch boots from Frye. Leather upper in a casual knee-high pull-on boot style with a round toe. Adjustable instep and top straps with Frye logo buckles. Cushioned Poron insole. Rubber traction outsole. 1 inch stacked wooden heel with rubber tap. 14 inch boot shaft. 15 inch circumference.
These boots are beautifully crafted - soft leather, great design. They run small. I am a consistent 10M but I had to go a 1/2 size up. One issue with this (and other riding boots) is that the exterior buckle can grab on your skirt hem (I've already ripped two while wearing these) -- Just something to think about. LOVE these boots otherwise -- soo comfortable and both casual and dressy.

These boots ROCK!! I got these back in Jan 09. I purchased the black boots but they look more like distressed gray, which gives them a vintage look. They are comfortable for the most part. The only problem I had with them is that they rubbed the back of my heels which would irritate my heels but never peel them. But they no longer hurt my heels (after a month of wearing them). They are a little tough at first but you MUST break them in, I have a bit of a struggle pulling them on, this is because the ankle area is a bit small. They did stretch on the foot area, they run petty much true to size with a bit of room. They fit a wide calf, 16"!! Despite the small flaws, I LOVE LOVE LOVE these boots and would recommend them to everyone!! I get compliments all the time from everyone.

Leather upper in a pull-on casual knee-high dress boot style with a rounded toe and topstitching accents. Contoured sock line overlay, tonal stitch details and raised seams at collar overlay add intricate accents to a classic style. I pined for these boots for years. I finally received a pair and they did not disappoint. I am on my feet all day and had no problem wearing these to work the day after I got them. They are classy and quirky and fun. The quality of the leather is beyond anything I've seen and I know I'll have these for years to come. Can't wait to get my next pair of Frye boots!

These are great boots. Sturdy and slightly clunky, but without being too casual or manly. The toe is rounded, but not as blunt as the Campus boots, making these more versatile and classic. The heel height is manageable, even if you walk a lot. Be prepared for a long-ish break-in period as these boots are made of thick, real leather, including the soles. A little slippage in the heel area is a good thing. It'll go away once you've broken these in. I found these boots to be true to size. I initially ordered them a half-size smaller after reading a number of reviews here and elsewhere, but found them to be WAY too tight and nearly impossible to put on. Definitely go with your normal shoe size unless you happen to have very narrow feet and thin calves (I have normal width feet and athletic calves). I might have to get the shaft stretched a little so that I can tuck jeans into these, but otherwise I'm very happy with my purchase. I can tell right away that I'll be wearing these for years.

Cowgirl meets metropolitan city girl in these sophisticated Paige Tall Riding boots by Frye! Distressed, polished leather uppers in a casual riding boot-inspired knee-high styling with a rounded toe. Scalloped seamed leather overlays and dual pull tabs accent the 16 inch shaft. Approximately 15" calf circumference that dips to a Western-style scallop at the back. Soft leather lining and cushioned leather logo insole with a smooth logo outsole. Approx. 3/4 stacked square heel. Also available in grey, while supplies last! Style #77534. Tan.
These are very cute and comfortable boots. I only gave them 4 stars because they are really hard to get on. Once you do get them on they are worth the trouble. I got the Nikwax leather care for them and was a little disappointed that the neutral wax discolored the leather to a little darker color. Although, I wore them in the rain and am glad that I had conditioned them first. I feel that they run true to size.

After reading the reviews, I went against my better judgement and ordered 1/2 size smaller than my typical size 7, mostly because I sometimes wear a 6.5 in certain shoes. The reviews REALLY stressed going down a 1/2 size, so I did and I ordered a 6.5. BIG MISTAKE go with the size you most typically wear! They were too tight, I had to return them and order a 7! The boots are incredible though! You'll love them.
